Light Up An Artist Trading Card!

Take the technology leap and put LED lights into an Artist Trading Card! Make an Artist Tading Card in class, and then light up with a LED! Learn a basic circuit, and a few more tricks to make your small art quilt shine.

Best of all? Let Cheryl make up kits and bring all of the supplies you need. This half day class is perfect of for a Saturday or an evening.

$125 per group/class - $8 kit fee per student includes everything for the class, including electronics!

Supplies needed: basic sewing supplies(scissors, hand needle, thread), Iron and ironing surface (if not provided by group)


Zombie Voodoo Doll!

Make your very own zombie voodoo doll that lights up when you poke him in the heart! This half day class will keep you in stitches as you learn how to put in the electronics that make him work!

$25 kit fee (includes electronics)

Supplies needed: basic sewing supplies(scissors, hand needle, thread), sewing machine in good working order, Heat N Bond lite fusible interfacing, your favorite fabric scraps larger than 3 inches (at least one light grey or green fabric needed), thin cotton batting scraps at least 6 inches square, ribbon or rick rack trim, Iron and ironing surface (if not provided by group), fabric markers (optional)


Lonely Robot Mini Quilt

Learn how to make this adorable robot, and also how to put a LED light inside his lonely heart! In this full day workshop, we'll make this 8 inch fused robot quilt top and free motion quilt him in the first part of the class, and put the LED light in in the second half! Girl robot patterns are also available.

$15 kit fee includes electronics

Supplies needed: basic sewing supplies(scissors, hand needle, thread in colors to match your fabrics), sewing machine in good working order with free motion foot, sharpie marker, Heat N Bond lite fusible interfacing, your favorite fabric scraps larger than 10 inches (enough variety to make robot), one light colored background piece at least 10 inches square, thin cotton batting piece at least 10 inches square, cotton backing piece at least 10 inches square, Iron and ironing surface (if not provided by group)


Intro to e-Textiles Sample Book

In this hands on class, learn basic to advanced e-textile techniques to insert into various textile works of your own. We'll cover the basics in a simple LED project, and take it further by adding sensors and switches! We'll top it off by using a commercial chipset and learn to program it easily with your computer. You don't have to be an engineer to do these simple and easy to understand exercises. Leave this full day class with a fabric swatch book of examples to inspire your future work!

This class can be extended into a multi-day class, please contact Cheryl for more details!

Supplies needed: basic sewing supplies(scissors, hand needle, thread), 6 commercial felt pieces 8 1/2 x 11 inches (wool or polyester), 14" Insulated Test/Jumper Leads from Radio Shack
