Blog Hop Stop #9 – Jamie Fingal

Next up is Jamie Fingal, who is an incredibly talented and generous quilter from California. You probably have seen her recent fabric line “Home is Where Your Story Begins”
Jamie-Home I met Jamie at Houston and at various shows throughout the years, and I have taken classes from her too! Jamie’s “Rebel Quilting” style and her use of zippers really appeal to me. My first introduction to her work was with her “heavy metal” quilts full of grommets, zippers, and rings.  Really cool stuff!  She’s also the curator of several quilt exhibits, including Dinner @ 8, which is a mainstay of the Houston experience for those of us that love art quilts.

Jamie’s blog post about my DVD can be found here, and you will get a small glimpse of my “origin story” on how I got started working with dimensional techniques!

Be sure to check out the rest of the hop too!
