I have my new Newsletter sign up going, and would love it if you could please take a second and sign up for it. It’s going to be monthly, and just recap some of the things going on with me. It’s almost Thanksgiving, and this time of year I am not travelling as much so I get to spend more time in my studio. I hope to get some larger quilts done during this time, and also plan out my projects for 2012!

I recently set up a booth at the Professional Art Quilt Associates’ Holiday Boutique, and I was very happy to have sold a few things! The Zombie Voodoo dolls were very popular, as well as the LED Deluxe Kits. I took these pictures of my table set up so I can tweak it for future shows.

We heard the good news that the quilts in the PowerSuit challenge are going to be heading around the nation on tour! They head to a the Lancaster Spring Quilt Show in March 2012, and Road to California in 2013!

Boy, how do you take a picture of an all black quilt? I’m having that challenge right now. I’m starting with lots of bright natural light and take it from there. I remember seeing an all black quilt in a show where the black fabrics were actually different shades of black, and it was stunning, but must have been a real pain to photograph for the show!

Remind me to tell you about “paying it forward”. I haven’t seen the movie, but I love the concept. I have a couple of interesting thoughts about that…

Have a wonderful Thanksgiving, if you are a reader from the USA!

It was very strange to be without my sewing machine for a few days. Even though I had not planned to sew those days anyway, just the fact that the machine was gone made me want to sew in a bad way. Isn’t that always the case?

I’m cleaning up the last of the calendar items for my very busy end of summer. I still have a few things that are surprises that I have yet to announce. It’s been a fabulous time for me and I hope you enjoy all that I’m working on.

I was told recently that I was “crafty”, and I guess that’s true. I have lots of artwork that I dabble in besides quilting. I have been doing some thinking to show some of the crafty things I try my hand at to all of you. One of them is a tutorial, which I think you will like!

I have a few weekly quilts to show you, as well as a new “technique of the week” I am planning! I fel like I have tons to get caught up on.

Lastly, one of my quilts went viral and got picked up on the ICanHasCheezburger family of websites. I had sooo much traffic! It was all good and you can’t buy that kind of marketing. If you are new here because of that, welcome!!

My submission that I fretted over for Artistic Artifacts’ Power Suit Show is finished and is whisking it’s way to them now. I can’t reveal the work until the show opens, but I’m super pleased with it. I have been to the UPS store a lot lately to ship many quilts to the various shows I’ve entered and juried into.
Welcome to any new readers I may have picked up from the blog hop, my recent press, or from anywhere in general! Thanks!
This N That #31 – Comic Con Edition
This is a sneak peek of a work I am making for an upcoming show… Sorry for the blurry pic, it’s a crop of a cell phone photo. But I love it so far!

Not much is getting done around here between the quilt deadlines and prepping for San Diego Comic Con. The “nerd prom” is one of our tent pole events of the year, and I do look forward to going (even if it’s a crazy time).

My blog is powered by Blogger, part of the Google family or programs, and I like it very much. With Google + just launching, if you like my posts, you can now “+1” them to your Google + feed. Check it out at the bottom…Neat, right?

Speaking of social media, don’t forget that I have a Facebook Page for my website, and you can get my post updates in your FB feed as well!
