A while back, Ingrid Catteneo of the Moss Roxx mini group sent me an email asking questions about my appearance on Quilting Arts TV. You see, she and her group were making the Opportunity Quilt for the Pine Tree Quilt Guild of Grass Valley, CA. She had seen my Heirloom Smocking demo in episode 1204 and thought it would be a great addition to their quilt.  She told me that it would be the centers of flowers!

Then, in Houston last year, Ingrid and her friends met me during my Open Studios demo, and they showed me a sneak peek of what they were making using my techniques that I demonstrated on air. It was a thrill to see someone using the techniques in such a cool way!

What a stunning quilt! The smocking and the beading are just fabulous.  Ingrid tells me that it took a Blue Ribbon in their quilt show in the “Group – Advanced” category!  It’s so well deserved.

Here is their beautiful opportunity quilt, called Fiori. Not only was it beautifully smocked, but the beads are just a wonderful addition!
